So many actors say you have to find something you like in each character. I've never bought that. I think there are people in the world who are plain mean. Not many, but some.
National Treasure: Book of Secrets
National Treasure 2: Book of Secrets is a Ban Gates’ second adventure. After the first film success I was sure there would be at least one more adventure. Book of Secrets earned more money than the first story. Gross revenue is almost 500 million dollars.
Thomas Gates (Ben Gates' great-great-grandfather) was asked to solve a puzzle and decode a message written in John Wilkes Booth’s (Knights of the Golden Circle) diary. Thomas started to translate the message that was a clue to a map to Cibola, the city of great treasure. He realizes the men want to use the treasure to support the Civil War. A fight breaks out. Thomas rips puzzle pages and throws them in the fireplace. Thomas was shot. Killer tried to save the decoded message but was able to get out only a fragment. Thomas’ last wards were: "The debt that all men pay...".
140 years later. Ben Gates (Nicolas Cage) was telling the story about his great-great-grandfather to the audience when Mitch Wilkinson (Ed Harris) showed one of the saved pages with Thomas Gates' name on it. He convinced everyone that Thomas Gates was the architect of the Lincoln assassination.
Ben Gates have to solve the lost puzzle to save family reputation and find the Cibola. It is great adventure with great actors in it.
